Beauty routines for specific skin concerns
As previously mentioned, topical treatment with Hyaluronic Acid-based cosmetics can certainly help improve facial ageing issues, and importantly, they extend the treatment effects of other procedures such as HA dermal filler injections and mesotherapy; their use is particularly effective in the treatment of discreet or uneven pigmentation and overall skin tone, surface roughness, wrinkles, redness, and blotchiness.28,61
Hyaluronic acid cosmetics may also be used to prepare our skin before the initiation of professional, aesthetic procedures or to restore skin just after such procedures.
For example, chemical peels for the treatment of hyperpigmentation can be enhanced:
- before with daily use of products containing topical formulations which contain glycol acid
- after he procedure with products containing a high level of broad spectrum sunscreen protection.
This promotes a brighter skin tone together with fewer visible pores and pigmentation spots, while simultaneously renewing skin quality.32,61
Since these products cannot penetrate to deeper layers of our skin, their moisturising effects will not last as long as with Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers.
Therefore, repeated use is necessary to maintain moisture levels in the skin and prevent skin dehydration.5,74,110,111
With so many skincare products to choose from, deciding on the right combination of products is understandably a difficult task.
Knowing which ones work together, how they benefit our specific skin concerns, and the order in which to use them are very important when creating an effective beauty routine.

Beauty routine to improve facial aging concerns 32,112
Start:Start every morning by gently cleansing your face with a soap-free solution that will not cause irritation, dryness, or stinging. Whatever your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive or normal), a micellar cleansing solution is perfectly adapted to cleanse your skin, allowing beneficial ingredients to absorb more effectively.
The eye region: When it comes to the eye region, you will need a moisturiser specially formulated for this delicate area. Hyaluronic Acid-based eye creams should be particularly gentle and formulated with active ingredients that work from the inside out to decongest tired puffy eyes, reduce dark circles, smooth, hydrate and plump the eye area.
Prevention: Around the lips, one of the most prominent facial features is prevention. Hyaluronic Acid-based lip products will help smooth fine lines and wrinkles on your lips and help restore them to a more youthful appearance.
Serums, a good skin-perfecting step: Some serums, highly concentrated in active ingredients (e.g. hyaluronic acid and vitamin C), are a good skin-perfecting step. They work in combination with creams for targeting specific skincare concerns like dehydration and wrinkles. Serums are generally more fluid than creams and have a lighter texture. They are applied before creams and are a good base for make-up.
Proper hydration:Proper hydration is a very important part of skin health and anti-ageing care. It is important to find a moisturiser that works for your skin type. They come in many forms: emulsions, lotions, gels, or creams. They all seal in moisture (and all the other products that you’ve put on your face) to plump up skin and smooth away any fine lines and wrinkles so that your skin looks smoother, perfectly hydrated, and visibly younger.
Sunscreen: Using a sunscreen is a crucial step in your daytime skin care routine. One piece of advice that can’t be repeated enough is that wearing a sunscreen is a very easy and effective way to prevent premature skin ageing caused by the sun’s harmful rays.
Complement your beauty regime:To complement your beauty regime, a soothing HA-based gel mask immediately infuses your skin with active ingredients for intense hydration, along with a toned and radiant glow.
Foundations and complexion correction cream:Foundations and complexion correction creams are well suited for masking skin and complexion imperfections, such as spots, redness, dark circles and scars.
Clear your skin: To clear your skin of make-up and all the impurities accumulated during the day, always use a gentle cleanser before going to bed. In fact, while you sleep your skin regenerates, making it more permeable and receptive to skin care products.112
Exfoliating: Exfoliating helps clean pores and slough off dead skin cells. Active ingredients such as glycolic acid, effectively moisturise and exfoliate the skin to create visible benefits: reduced dark spots, less visible pores and a brighter, smoother and uniform complexion. It is best to exfoliate after cleansing and before hydrating your skin.
Hydration: As with your daytime routine, HA-based serums and eye creams can be applied at night for intense hydration.
Balms: Likewise, balms have a soothing and moisturising effect on the skin and may be used to help repair and restore irritated, sensitised or dry skin.
